The spumante wine par excellence, maximising the traditional Prosecco characteristics. The rich bouquet of Strada di Guia 109 Extra-dry stands out for the intensity and elegance of its acacia and apple aromas. Its freshness and residual sugar blend together exquisitely, resulting in a truly delicious flavour.
Grape-variety: 100% Arneis
Wine: Arneis is a native varietal producing a very fruity wine with hints of pear and apple. Its fragrance and flavor are also enhanced by the small amount of CO2 maintained from the fermentation, which also helps to make up for the varietal’s typically low acidity.
Grape Variety: 100% Garganega
A still white wine from pure Garganega grape, fine, elegant and lonely in a land of red wines … a Desperate because it couldn’t find its name, and finally we really called it so!
Grape Variety: Turbiana (Trebbiano di Lugana)
Golden, warm, intense straw yellow.
Wrapping, immediate exotic notes. It develops in a very pleasant fashion, good mineral impression
Truly fine wine, though with a determined character. Rich, unfaltering and well balanced for a truly satisfactory palate. Obstinate, mineral wine with a superb pulp
Grape Variety: 100% Schioppettino
Schioppettino is a wine typical of the Cividale area and derived from Ribolla Nera (Black Ribolla), an indigenous variety planted on hilly land of the Friuli region.
Schioppettino has an intensely ruby red colour with purple glints. The smell is distinctive of the varietal, slightly herbaceous with raspberry aromas and a characteristic green peppercorn scent.
Grape Variety: 100% Barbera
The Barbera d’Alba Superiore, aged one year in large French oak barrels with medium toast.
A robust wine with good acidity that pairs well with all foods, especially main courses and cheese.
Grape Variety: Red Blend
Deep red color with an elegant nose of dark fruits such as blackberry, blackcurrant and cherry. On the palate, this wine is full, complex and round with lovely flavors of cherry, licorice and a lingering finish. The hint of raisin comes from the first fermentation of the wine passing over dried grape skins which were used to make Bertani's signature Amarone.
Grape Variety: 100% Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso
This native Friulian varietal dates back to the Roman Empire. The color is an intense and deep ruby red with violet reflections. Notes of white pepper unfold to aromas of sweet plum jam and earthy spice. Bold and robust structure, akin to the character of a native “Friulano.” Pair with gamey meats, braised and grilled meat, and strong cheeses.
Grape Variety: 100% Vernaccia Nera
Intense ruby red color. Medium bodied, fruity & spiced, savory, soft and long, with pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Alcohol 12%.
Grape Variety: 100% Lacrima
LACRIMA DI MORRO D'ALBA SUPERIORE
THE BEST GRAPES FROM EACH HARVEST ARE FOUND IN OUR OLDEST VINEYARD, THE GUARDENGO. THE MICROCLIMATE, LOCATION AND LOW YIELDS OF THIS VINEYARD ALLOW THESE OLD VINES TO GIVE THE HIGHEST QUALITY LACRIMA GRAPES.
The word lacrima means teardrop in Italian, and is probably reference to the fact that the berries have a tendency to split, dripping juice down the outside of the bunch. This is perhaps one of the reasons that the variety had such a decline in the early 20th Century – the split grapes attract pests and diseases and were largely replaced by grape varieties that were easier to cultivate. The wine’s floral bouquet recalls lavender, roses and violets, over heavier notes of stewed strawberries. No less impressive are the flavors, which are redolent of vanilla-tinged blueberry brioche with a hint of sweet spice (cinnamon). Although typically mid-bodied, dry and relatively tannic, the wine can also be produced in a sweet passito style
